If anyone has ever thought “Oh to be a fly on the wall”… who needs reality tv?! This should be interesting!! : )
Was Jesus a wild man? I think any man that walked as many miles on foot (or sandal) to fulfill prophecy of the Messiah to come and claiming as well as proving that it was Him; must be a wild man… Or a man able to confront the demons and cast them out of people and animals with out fear? wild! How about a touching the sick and leprous; I work in the hospital and freak with the thought of the possibility of catching something but Jesus touched and in His Divine power; healed..WILD… I could go on and on but will allow all your many new followers to jump in and answer with some of their own intriguing thoughts.
I just wanted my stab at this shirt and I certainly hope it’s not the one you were wearing or that tie matter of fact because Pastors gone wild should not wear uptight looking clothing.. Im just sayin..
God bless you brother and know Im excited about this blog!
When do I get my free t-shirt?
Oh I think this sis going to be a very interesting site! I cant wait to see how things will unfold! About Jesus being wild? Oh yeah! Life wasn’t easy for Him at all with most of the folk out to discredit Him and him having to prove that He was indeed the Messiah! All the trekking He did, the miracles that only seemed to rile the pharisees! I would really vote Him WILD! Go, Pastors, Go!!
Aims! my thoughts exactly!! thanks so much for tuning in and please tell your peeps!! as for being a fly on the wall, no need actually – we’re working on getting about 7 cameras in the house and you’ll enjoy the fun or live the nightmare with us!!!
Rose – WOW, I couldn’t have said it better!! you expanded my own study and I LOVE THAT – that’s why I love all of this social media, always challenging me to take my life in Jesus to a deeper level… I look forward to sharing my thoughts too with you and anybody else wild enough to dare say they’ve checked us out, haha!
Chad… dear Chad… I guess I didn’t specifically tell you to engage with us on the topic so yes, you’ll get your free tee but read your Bible, especially the parts where it stresses PATIENCE! you crack me up bro and seriously, thanks for checkin’ us out!!
Your comment on Swerve made me laugh out loud. I was really stoked too. Several of my friends had to hold me in my chair I was so lit up, but if I had thought about the possibility of tazing I would have behaved myself better.
If you’re at the next All Staff look me up. I’m looking for your bio here to see who you are.
Timo! …all the way from Kenya!!! how sweet it is to hear from you on our new adventure here and interesting I hope will be a mild way to say it! you’re exactly right bro, dealing with the Sanhedrin was his biggest pain in the gut and the decisions he made were definately considered wild and radical and just flat out blasphemous… I’m thinkin’ Matthew 15 is a great example! Anybody want to elaborate on it or have some more specific examples?!?
Couldn’t be a better discussion! Everyone wants to be “a little wild” in their deepest self… I believe this comes from desiring adventure. In my opinion, walking daily with Jesus is the most adventurous life you can ever have!
Example I thought of that Jesus was a wild man is the way he always paid attention to women. You might say he was the very first women’s “libber”. He dared to speak to a Samaritan woman at the well, and NO ONE spoke to Samaritans, much less engage a woman in conversation.
Go to it…should be thought-provoking at the very least!
Pastors gone wild. I love it!! I’m a new fan.
Kendra – haha, I kinda laughed a little when I wrote it (because it’s true!) @marcymcconnell was the first one to emphasize my fate had I tried to hug him, lol… anyway, LIT UP is a great way to describe it – I knew I was hearing something from Craig that was going to take a great thing and make it unreal… I had trouble sitting still too!! anyway, thanks Kendra and definately, I’ll look for ya for sure!!!
MOM! IT FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS!!
always love hearing from you… and great insight on living the “wild” life, as well as your thoughts on Jesus’ wild side in regards to communicating with women – LOVE that perspective!!!
Chuck – bro! you’re a fan?! man, we’re a fan of you!!! thanks so much and it’s a priv to have you join us on the wild side…
WILD
–adjective
1. living in a state of nature; not tamed or domesticated
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Wild
This was the only definition I found that could possibly be used for Jesus. The other definitions made me question why we would even consider Him to be wild.
He walked on water in the middle of a storm, I believe.
This completely breaks the mold of being tamed, or does it. When we look through our human eyes it would definitely suggest that, but what if we look through the eyes God empowers us with (Philippians 4:13), it would suggest that He was operating within His ability.
Are we operating in His ability or our own? What happened to Peter when he tried to walk to Him?
I guess we should be wild when compared to the worlds standards but we are already wild when compared to His standard. The more tame we become in Him the wilder we become to the world.
Patrick – excellent insight bro and thanks for the upload! “The more tame we become in Him the wilder we become to the world.” I agree completely and that’s why we have to embrace the “trouble” that we “cause” and endure it, remembering what Christ had to endure because of wild claims that He was the Messiah.
It’s an interesting scripture though: http://www.youversion.com/bible/nlt/2cor/5/13 “If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.”
a crazy definition: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/crazy “full of cracks or flaws, insane, being out of the ordinary, distracted with desire or excitement” …I would say that wild is close relative of crazy.
anyway, my point is that this scripture and it’s context is worth exploring in regards to your comment – I have some insights but I’d like to throw it out there and see what you and everyone else might have to say! look forward to enjoying your downloads from our Creator!!!

Patrick’s comment is so good – makes you really think. Especially like “The more tame we become in him, the wilder we become to the world.” If we had lived in Jesus’ time, I am pretty certain that most of us would have thought Jesus to be a crazy man, given the real probability that he was “asking for it” from the establishment at that time. He told the truth and the whole truth and most of us don’t have that kind of courage. We are “tame” in that sense, but if we are “tamed by Jesus”, we are infused with HIS courage and are able to do unimagined things!
Think of everything the world requires for sanity, and then compare it to what the Bible considers as strengths, and if we are not off our rocker yet we should be getting closer. Whose the insane one?
Faith like a child (God)
Ignorance of a child (world)
Love your enemies (God)
Sue for defamation (world)
I could keep on going. Our vision in this world is clouded by our curse, the sin of our hearts. When we follow the holiness of God, this worlds cracked lens only sees things bent. I know we cant see if we take off those lenses, but that is where faith comes in. If you cant see what is real, would you rather have a person with the same vision or better vision lead you.
Sorry if this is just rambling. I am exhausted from a long day at school and think I might just turn my brain off for a while.
It would seem to me that the only way to be in a right mind is with His wisdom because we are incapable.
Bert – I know it sounds weird asking that but I’ve found that if you still ask, you get some amazing ideas so… that’s my m.o.! but I know what you’re sayin’ and appreciate all your advice, definately!!!
Mom – I agree, I loved that comment too! and love your comment picking up from his as well, “we are infused with HIS courage and are able to do unimagined things!” good stuff!!!
Patrick – nice! great examples and insight – LOVE IT! we need you to come over to the house and be a guest vlogger!!! you game to get wild???
Zane, what is the pay like?
JK Sounds like fun.
